Job summary

Wake Forest Ambulatory Ventures LLC - Surgery Center in Clemmons, NC is seeking a PRN OR Technician with experience to assist in the operating suite under the supervision of an RN. You will prepare and stock the OR, gather sterile supplies and help set up sterile instrument fields to maintain aseptic technique.

The role requires graduation from a Surgical Technology program or an accredited nursing program, and OR experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Surgical Technology program or accredited Nursing program.
• OR experience is required.
• BCLS certification required.
• Certification in specialty area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures quality patient care, safety, and advocacy under direct supervision of the RN.
• Maintains instruments, equipment and supplies while ensuring aseptic technique.
• Communicates effectively with the team, co-workers and patients in a professional manner.
• Takes personal responsibility and initiative for performance and professional growth.
• Demonstrates cost containment activities for instruments and inventory.
