Job summary

WakeMed in Cary, NC is looking for a Surgical Technologist to join our OR team. You will support surgeons and nurses to deliver safe, seamless patient care and ensure sterile environments and required equipment are ready for procedures.

No prior experience is required; we provide a clear career ladder from Tech I–IV and comprehensive benefits, including a sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, tuition reimbursement, and loan forgiveness eligibility.

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist required or OR Tech in Surgery required.
• Education: high school diploma or equivalent and graduate surgical technology.
• Military pathway available for surgical tech training.

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and manage sterile environments to keep patients safe.
• Assist surgeons and RNs during procedures, ensuring the right tools are ready at the right time.
• Help maintain equipment and operating room readiness.
• Apply knowledge of anatomy, surgical procedures, and technology daily.
• Support a wide variety of cases—ortho experience is a plus but not required.
