Job summary

Olympia Fields Hospital in Illinois is seeking a Certified Operating Room Technician to prepare sterile supplies, maintain a sterile field, and assist the surgeon during procedures. This per diem role offers day shifts with competitive compensation.

Eligible candidates will have a high school diploma, ORT training or equivalent experience, CST certification, and BLS certification. Prior scrubbing experience in multiple surgical specialties is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience.
• Graduate of an ORT training program or on the job training with a minimum of 3 years’ experience (surgical setting preferred).
• Current Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist.
• Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in generalized surgical specialties (e.g., GYN, General, Plastics).
• Experience in scrubbing at least minor procedures in specialty areas (e.g., ortho, neuro, ENT, Uro, etc.).
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile supplies and instruments for each procedure.
• Maintain sterile field during case and assist surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments.
