Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of Optum, in Houston, TX, seeks an Operating Room Registered Nurse to provide perioperative care across multiple service lines and to build effective working relationships with the ASC and Clinic teams.

The role requires ASN or higher, Texas RN license or compact, BLS, and 2+ years OR experience within an ASC or hospital setting. Strong communication and basic computer skills are needed.

Qualifications

• ASN or higher nursing degree.
• Active Texas RN license or compact license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience in Operating Room.
• RN experience in ASC or hospital setting.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Ambulatory Surgery Center or hospital experience; multi-site or float experience preferred.
• Deliver high quality age-specific patient care and develop relationships with ASC/Clinic staff.
• Communicate patient conditions clearly to physicians, anesthesia, leadership, staff, patients, families and visitors.
• Perform safe operative nursing care per policies and standards including AORN/ASPAN.
