Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, is hiring an OR nurse. Based in Houston with 40+ locations, you will deliver high quality age-specific patient care in the operating room, collaborating with physicians, anesthesia, and staff to ensure clear communication and safe patient care.

Required ASN or higher, Texas RN license, BLS, and 2+ years OR experience. BSN preferred; valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Qualifications

• ASN or higher required.
• Texas RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• 2+ years RN experience in Operating Room.
• Single service line experience.
• Basic computer skills and driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a proficiency in delivering high quality age specific patient care
• Develop effective working relationships with all members of the ASC and Clinic
• Communicate information effectively, appropriately, and with courtesy regarding patient conditions to those who require the information including physicians, anesthesia, management, staff, patients, families, and visitors
• Perform safe and competent operative nursing care according to the organization's policy & procedures
• Perform safe and competent operating room nursing care according to the organization's policy & procedures & AORN/ASPAN standards
