Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Per Diem Operating Room RN to join our ophthalmic surgical team, covering cataract, retina, glaucoma, corneal, and other microsurgical cases. This dual scrub/circulating role demands skilled aseptic technique, teamwork, and flexibility in a high-volume OR.

The ideal candidate holds a Massachusetts RN license, BLS/ACLS, and at least 2 years of OR nursing with ophthalmology experience strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license in Massachusetts.
• BLS and ACLS certification required (or obtained within 6 months).
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience, ophthalmology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Function as both scrub and circulating nurse for ophthalmic procedures (cataract, retina, glaucoma, corneal, oculoplastic).
• Prepare OR with instruments/equipment; ensure sterile technique and infection control.
• Monitor and support patients intraoperatively; document care and interventions.
