Qualified candidates hold an active MA RN license with BLS/ACLS, have 2+ years in OR nursing with ophthalmology experience preferred, and demonstrate strong sterile technique and teamwork in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Education: Nursing degree or diploma; BSN preferred.
• Current MA RN license in good standing.
• BLS/ACLS required or obtained within 6 months.
• Minimum 2 years OR nursing, scrub and circulate roles preferred.
• Strong sterile technique, AORN guidelines, surgical safety.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Function as scrub and circulating nurse for ophthalmic procedures.
• Prepare operating room with instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection control.
• Monitor and support patients intraoperatively.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, techs and nurses.
• Document intraoperative care and interventions accurately.
• Participate in room turnover and case preparation.
• Adhere to hospital policies, standards and safety guidelines.
