Job summary

Upper Bay Surgery Center is seeking a per diem Operating Room Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide nursing care for patients undergoing operative or invasive procedures and support a range of surgical specialties.

Required are a Maryland RN license, active CPR/ACLS/PALS certifications, and at least two years of OR experience. Wages range from $47.00 to $50.00 per hour, with benefits as detailed by USPI.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Minimum two years OR experience.
• Current Maryland RN license.
• CPR, ACLS and PALS certifications.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities.
• Ability to tactfully interact with patients, families, physicians and employees.

Responsibilities

• The Operating Room Nurse is responsible for nursing activities for patients undergoing operative or invasive procedures.
• Care for adult and geriatric patients, and pediatric patients 8 years and older.
• Support OR services including Ortho, Spine, Podiatry, General, Pain Management and Surgical Dermatology.
