Job summary

Bay Area Community Health in Fremont, CA seeks a per diem Optometrist to provide high-quality vision care in a community-focused setting. You will diagnose, treat, and manage refractive errors, prescribe glasses and ocular medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

This position offers per diem scheduling, a competitive annual salary range of $155,750.40 - $180,564.80, and comprehensive benefits including health insurance, retirement planning, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Maintain California optometrist license and board certification in glaucoma.
• Graduate of an accredited School/College of Optometry.
• Preferred: 2+ years of optometry experience; bilingual abilities.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat refractive errors including myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and amblyopia.
• Prescribe eyeglasses and ocular medications; order and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Identify and manage ocular conditions such as glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy.
• Collaborate with other providers and document findings and treatment plans.
