Qualifications

• OD degree from an accredited program.
• Current NY optometry license or eligibility.
• Experience in outpatient or community health settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments.
• Diagnose and manage common eye conditions and vision disorders.
• Prescribe corrective lenses and contact lenses as appropriate.
• Identify and refer patients with complex or surgical needs to specialists.
• Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and treatment plans.
• Document encounters accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
