Job summary

Tufts Medicine is seeking an RN for Complex Care at Lowell General Hospital. This role provides direct nursing care to a designated patient group in accordance with policies and physician orders, and may oversee other staff. Licensure and BLS/BCLS certifications are required, with BSN preferred.

The position is Per Diem with responsibilities that include care planning, assessments, discharge planning, and continuous quality improvement within a complex care unit.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts RN Licensure is required.
• 0 - Less than 12 Months RN experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification.
• Department-specific certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Participates in performance improvement initiatives.
• Implements evidence-based practice in clinical care.
• Conducts and documents accurate clinical assessments.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates patient care plans.
• Manages patient assignment and delegates tasks.
• Develops educational plans for patient/family and documents per standards.
• Supports informed decisions and advanced directives.
• Evaluates and revises care plans as patient health changes.
• Develops discharge plans and coordinates referrals.
• Supports onboarding and transition of new staff.
• Pursues professional development by identifying learning needs.
