Job summary

Park Highlands Nursing is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house Rehab team on a PRN basis. You will provide person-centered care to help residents improve independence and quality of life, under the supervision of an OT.

This role requires an active Texas OTA license and a COTA credential. SNF or long-term care experience is preferred, with familiarity in Net Health documentation and strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Active Texas OTA license required.
• COTA credential required.
• In good standing with licensing boards.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of OT treatment practices.
• Experience with Net Health EDS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer OTA treatments to residents to relieve pain and improve function.
• Provide skilled OT services under supervision of an OT.
• Respond to service requests by relaying info to the OT.
• Ensure treatments follow the established plan of care.
• Provide clinical support and education to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Monitor patient response and report changes.
• Complete required documentation per policy and regulations.
• Attend meetings designated by the Director of Rehab.
