Job summary

NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital in New York is seeking a Per Diem Occupational Therapist to evaluate OT needs and implement medically prescribed treatment in a rehabilitation program. The role requires license in NYS, BLS/CPR certification, and strong communication with patients and families.

You will assess, plan, and document care, participate in student education, and collaborate with the care team to achieve rehab goals while upholding department standards and policies.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• New York State OT license or temporary permit; permit requires license within 3 months.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• BLS or CPR/AED certification required on entry.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate OT needs and implement medically prescribed OT treatment.
• Develop and adjust treatment plans with patient and family.
• Complete documentation for patient care and reimbursement.
• Provide clinical education and supervision to fieldwork students.
• Maintain professional appearance and adherence to department policies.
