Job summary

NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital is seeking a Per Diem Occupational Therapist to join our team. You will evaluate occupational therapy needs and implement medically prescribed OT treatment for assigned patients in a supervised rehabilitation program.

The successful candidate holds a Master’s in Occupational Therapy, NYS OT license, and CPR/BLS certification. Responsibilities include assessments, treatment planning, documentation, education of patients and families, and supervising fieldwork

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• New York State OT license or temporary permit.
• BLS certification (AHA/ARC) or CPR/AED certification required on entry.

Responsibilities

• Initial assessment and evaluation of OT needs for assigned patient populations.
• Implements OT treatment plans and protocols with patients and families.
• Completes all required documentation for patient care and reimbursement.
• Maintains professional appearance and demonstrates appropriate professionalism.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Teaches and supervises fieldwork students and encourages learning experiences for students.

Education

Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
