Brightstar Care of Hunterdon County is seeking an Occupational Therapist to work in the Clinton, NJ area. The role involves performing comprehensive physical and psychological assessments, coordinating with physicians to create care plans, and evaluating clients’ home environments for beneficial adjustments.

The position emphasizes one-to-one patient care, with per diem/as-needed scheduling (AM or PM) and pay considerations noted in the benefits.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical & psychological assessments of clients
• Work cooperatively w/ physicians to develop care & appropriate treatment plans
• Assess home environments of clients & explore adjustments which may be beneficial
• Assess for benefits of adaptive equipment to assist client w/ ADL's
• Advise client through the process of obtaining devices, as well as proper use of devices by client, family & caregivers
• Report client's response to treatment or changes in condition to the Director of Nursing & physician
• Initiate occupational therapy program & instruct other personnel, including family members & caregivers, in specific phases of occupational therapy w/ which they may assist with the client
• Prepare clinical & progress summaries, as well as participate in discharge planning
• Treat clients, families & staff w/ courtesy & respect.
