Responsibilities

• Conduct physical & psychological assessments of clients
• Work with physicians to develop care and treatment plans
• Assess home environments and suggest beneficial adjustments
• Assess for adaptive equipment to aid ADLs
• Advise on obtaining and using devices by clients and caregivers
• Report client responses and condition changes to supervisors
• Initiate OT programs and train family and staff to assist
• Prepare clinical and progress summaries; participate in discharge planning
• Treat clients, families and staff with courtesy and respect

Job description

Brightstar Care of Hunterdon County is looking for an Occupational Therapist to work in the Clinton, NJ area.

OT Day-to-Day Duties...

• Conduct physical & psychological assessments of clients
• Work cooperatively w/ physicians to develop care & appropriate treatment plans
• Assess home environments of clients & explore adjustments which may be beneficial
• Assess for benefits of adaptive equipment to assist client w/ ADL's
• Advise client through the process of obtaining devices, as well as proper use of devices by client, family & caregivers
• Report client's response to treatment or changes in condition to the Director of Nursing & physician
• Initiate occupational therapy program & instruct other personnel, including family members & caregivers, in specific phases of occupational therapy w/ which they may assist with the client
• Prepare clinical & progress summaries, as well as participate in discharge planning
• Treat clients, families & staff w/ courtesy & respect.
