UNC Health in Chapel Hill, NC is seeking a Per Diem Nursing Assistant I for the Transplant Acute Care Unit 5 West. This 15-bed unit cares for abdominal transplant, urology and plastic surgery patients, with a strong interprofessional team delivering cutting-edge care.

The role involves rotating day and night shifts (12 hours), a minimum of 24 hours per month, and on-site work. You will assist with routine care, observe patients, document changes, and support the team under RN/physician

Qualifikationen

• Nursing Assistant I licensure (NC DHHS)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Prefer six months nursing assistant experience
• Fluent in English and basic computer skills

Aufgaben

• Assist physicians and healthcare providers with routine examinations and procedures, and procure equipment during emergencies.
• Observe, document patient information, and promptly report significant changes to RN/physician.
• Provide direct personal care and assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, ambulation).
• Provide indirect care: clean/stock area, transport patients and supplies, and help orient new staff.
• Reinforce patient education and distribute educational materials as directed by RN/physician.
