NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk is seeking a Nurse Practitioner - Medical Staff Services - Per Diem to join its team. NPs function as licensed independent practitioners collaborating with physicians to provide high-quality care and support hospital operations.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, orders, documentation, discharge planning, and perioperative tasks. Per diem status may require on-call duties and rapid response in trauma settings.

Competenze

• Graduate NP program approved by NYS.
• Current NP certification from AANP or ANCC.
• Bachelor's and Master's degrees.
• Current NYS RN and NP licenses.

Mansioni

• Assists physicians with patient management focusing on quality care and timely discharge.
• Orders and interprets tests and treatments based on patient need.
• Documents care in the chart per hospital policies and CDI guidelines.
• Plans and implements patient care/treatment plans and discharges.
• Initiates consults with physicians and other staff including hospice and palliative care.
• Performs perioperative assessments and contributes to trauma team readiness.

Formazione

Graduate of NP educational program approved by the State of New York

Current NP certification from either the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners or the American Nurses Credentialing Center

Bachelors and Masters degrees

Current New York State license as registered nurse and NP

Basic Life Support Certification
