Job summary

Health First in Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct and indirect patient care within a collaborative, evidence-based care environment. You will participate in care coordination, education, and safety initiatives to improve outcomes across the care continuum.

Responsibilities include administering medications, documenting care, rounding with interdisciplinary teams, and supporting discharge planning while mentoring new associates and students as appropriate.

Qualifications

• ASN or Nursing Diploma required.
• Florida RN licensure required.
• AHA BLS Healthcare Provider completion prior to start date.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care based on the nursing process across the care continuum.
• Administers medications and documents care activities per policies.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and support discharge planning.
• Applies critical thinking to promptly identify changes in patient condition and intervene.
• Educates patients and families using teach-back to promote engagement and safe transitions.
• Adheres to safety protocols and infection prevention practices.
• Uses Health First technology systems to document care plans.
• Participates in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Supports precepting, mentoring, and onboarding of new associates and students.
• Promotes bedside communication and rounding as part of daily care.
