Job summary

Nacogdoches Medical Center, part of Tenet Healthcare, seeks a Registered Nurse for per diem night shifts in Labor & Delivery. You will direct nursing activities, deliver specialized care to obstetric patients, and maintain courtesy and respect for patients and families.

This role emphasizes patient-centered care within a supportive team environment. Minimum requirements include an Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing, 1+ year L&D experience, and active BLS/NRP/ACLS with fetal monitoring.

Qualifications

Associate degree or diploma in nursing required.
Minimum RN with 1 year L&D experience.
BLS, NRP, ACLS and fetal monitoring certifications required by 3 months.
Valid Texas RN license.
FLSA status: Non-exempt.

Responsibilities

Directs nursing service activities of the Labor and Delivery Department.
Renders specialized professional nursing care to patients in Labor and Delivery.
Treats patients and families with courtesy and respect.
Creates a trusting attitude in parents toward nursing and their responsibilities.
Supports medical care as directed by medical staff and hospital policies.
Involves both direct and indirect patient care.
