Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Tyler, Texas is seeking a per diem RN to provide ongoing nursing care in a perinatal setting. The nurse will use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for assigned patients, working independently within established protocols.

Qualified candidates have a BSN preferred, an active RN license (state or compact), and BLS certification. Experience in perinatal care and ability to adapt to shift requirements (7PM–7AM) are highly valued; new hires complete

Qualifications

• RN license in state of employment or compact.
• BSN preferred and BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of OneCHRISTUS competencies.
• Provides nursing care using the nursing process for assigned patients.
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs.
• Administers medications and treatments per protocol; monitors effects.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, and care.
• Educates patients, families, and caregivers; identifies issues and resources.
