Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking a competent per diem RN for a clinical setting in Texas. The role involves independent practice, routine and complex care, and long-range planning within the nursing team.

Responsibilities include implementing the nursing process, administering medications, documenting care, and educating patients and families. Requires BSN preferred, BLS, and RN licensure in Texas or compact state; per diem schedule 7AM–7PM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing, preferred.
• 1 year experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Administer medications and treatments; monitor side-effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications and care provided.
• Educate patients and families; identify learning needs and resources.
