Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Lansing, MI is seeking a per diem Nursing Assistant to support the RN in delivering patient-centered care. You will perform selected day-to-day patient care activities and maintain an environment conducive to patient well-being, while respecting developmental, age-specific, and cultural preferences.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, CNA certification or equivalent program, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Specialized nursing assistant education: acute care, LTC, EMT, medical assistant, or clinical rotation in accredited nursing program.
• Direct patient care experience preferred; if above education not met, at least 6 months required.

Responsibilities

• Performs specific patient care interventions as delegated by the RN to attain treatment goals.
• Delivers compassionate support to patients and families.
• Provides physical support for daily activities and personal hygiene.
• Ensures compliance with HIPAA and OSHA and health care regulations.
• Maintains safe and clean environment following infection-control policies.
• Performs other related duties as requested.
