Job summary
Northwest Texas Children's Hospital in Amarillo, TX is partnering with Pediatrix to recruit a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner for their Level III NICU. The team includes neonatologists and dedicated support staff focused on infant care excellence.
Ideal candidates have NNP experience or 3+ years NICU nursing for new grads, an active Texas APRN license with Neonatal NP certification, and a master’s degree. Comprehensive benefits with relocation support are offered.
Qualifications
- NNP experience preferred.
- New NP grads considered if 3+ years NICU nursing experience.
- Graduate of an approved, accredited nursing program.
- Current Texas APRN license with certification as Neonatal NP, or ability to obtain one.
- Board Certification.
- Current APRN national specialty certification.
- Minimum of a master’s degree.
Responsibilities
- NNP coverage model: 24-hour shifts plus second NNP on day shift.
- Work schedule: average of seven 24-hour shifts a month.
- Attend high-risk deliveries as assigned.
- Procedures include intubation, insertion of UVC, UAC, and PICC lines.
- Pediatric Hospitalist sees newborns.
- Peds subspecialties in-house: Cardiology, Nephrology, Peds Surgery, Endocrinology.
