Job summary

Shields Health Care Group at Winchester Hospital & Winchester Hospital - Unicorn Park is seeking a per diem Patient Services Assistant to support radiology workflow. You will help set up rooms, prepare coils, ensure clean linens, and assist patients throughout the exam to ensure comfort and safety.

The role requires CPR, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to assist patients with mobility. The position involves lifting up to 25 pounds and supporting the technologist during procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CPR certification required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills required.
• Must be able to assist patients with mobility difficulties.
• Must be able to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.

Responsibilities

• Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times.
• Assist Technologist in setting up the room.
• Set up proper coil for exam.
• Ensure there is clean linen.
• Make available any items, which may assist the patients setup.
• Assist in the patient interview process.
• Safety check list.
• Symptoms and history.
• Determine if prior exams.
• Explain procedure to patient.
• Reassure the patient if anxious.
• Assist technologist in setting the patient for exam.
• Aid the patient getting on table.
• Ensure all safety devices are in place.
• Help makes the patient comfortable.
• Assist technologist upon completion of exam.
• Remove the patient from bore.
• Remove all safety equipment.
• Assist in checking that prior exams are on the appropriate workstation.
• Assist with Tech Data Entry.
