Job summary

Shields Health Care Group in Massachusetts seeks a per diem Technologist Aide to assist imaging teams at Winchester Hospital in a fast-paced medical setting.

You will set up exam rooms, support technologists with patient setup, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort and safety while maintaining clean spaces. CPR certification is required and pay is competitive.

Qualifications

We’ve created a challenging work environment driven by our talented people, with a unique philosophy of care that sets us apart today and tomorrow.The Technologist Aide will provide a professional, caring atmosphere to all customer groups, assist technical staff while maintaining a fast-paced medical environment.Job Description:This is a per diem opportunity at Winchester Hospital & Winchester Hospital - Unicorn Park.What you will doFollow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times.Assist Technologist in setting up the room.Set up proper coil for examEnsure there is clean linenMake available any items, which may assist the patients setup.Assist in the patient interview process.Safety check list.Symptoms and history.Determine if prior exams.Make sure patient is properly dressed for exam.Explain procedure to patient.Reassure the patient if anxious.Assist technologist in setting the patient for exam.Aid the patient getting on table.Ensure all safety devices are in place.Help makes the patient comfortable.Assist technologist upon completion of exam.Remove the patient from bore.Remove all safety equipment.Aid the patient off the table and assist to changing area.Assist in checking that all paperwork is complete.Assist getting all prior paper work.Assist getting all prior pertinent exams.Assist in checking that prior exams are on the appropriate workstation.Assist with Tech Data Entry.Assist with the cleaning and stocking of exam rooms.What you need:High School Diploma or equivalent.CPR certification required.Excellent interpersonal skills required.Must be able to assist patients with mobility difficulties. Must be able to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.Additional Job Description:The pay range for this position is $17/hr-$29/hr + benefits.
