The Technologist Aide is a per diem role at Winchester Hospital & Unicorn Park, supporting technologists, preparing exam rooms, assisting patients, and ensuring safety in a fast-paced medical environment. CPR certification and excellent interpersonal skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CPR certification required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills required.
• Must be able to assist patients with mobility and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.

Responsibilities

• Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times.
• Assist Technologist in setting up the room, including coil setup, clean linen, and patient items.
• Assist in the patient interview process, safety checklist, history, and prior exams.
• Assist in preparing the patient for exam and explaining procedures to ensure comfort.
• Assist the technologist during and after the exam, including safety devices and paperwork.
• Aid the patient off the table and assist to changing area.
• Check that all prior paperwork and pertinent prior exams are available and on the correct workstation.
• Assist with Tech Data Entry and the cleaning and stocking of exam rooms.

The Technologist Aide will provide a professional, caring atmosphere to all customer groups, assist technical staff while maintaining a fast-paced medical environment.

Job Description:

This is a per diem opportunity at Winchester Hospital & Winchester Hospital - Unicorn Park.

What you will do

• Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times.
• Assist Technologist in setting up the room.
  • Set up proper coil for exam
  • Ensure there is clean linen
  • Make available any items, which may assist the patients setup.
• Assist in the patient interview process.
  • Safety check list.
  • Symptoms and history.
  • Determine if prior exams.
  • Make sure patient is properly dressed for exam.
  • Explain procedure to patient.
  • Reassure the patient if anxious.
• Assist technologist in setting the patient for exam.
  • Aid the patient getting on table.
  • Ensure all safety devices are in place.
  • Help makes the patient comfortable.
• Assist technologist upon completion of exam.
  • Remove the patient from bore.
  • Remove all safety equipment.
• Aid the patient off the table and assist to changing area.
• Assist in checking that all paperwork is complete.
• Assist getting all prior paper work.
• Assist getting all prior pertinent exams.
• Assist in checking that prior exams are on the appropriate workstation.
• Assist with Tech Data Entry.
• Assist with the cleaning and stocking of exam rooms.

What you need:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CPR certification required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills required.
• Must be able to assist patients with mobility difficulties. Must be able to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.

Additional Job Description:

The pay range for this position is $17/hr-$29/hr + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
