Zusammenfassung

Spire Orthopedic Partners, Middlesex Orthopedic & Spine Associates in Middletown, CT, seeks a Per Diem MRI Technologist to join the imaging team. You will prepare patients, position them for MRI, and ensure safety and exam quality.

You will work with licensed staff, maintain PACS workflow, perform QA, and support timely imaging. A two-year radiology program and CT/MRI licensure are required; orthopedic experience is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of approved school of radiology (two-year course).
• Valid Connecticut X-Ray/MRI Technician license and ARRT registered.
• Minimum two years experience as an MRI Technologist preferred.
• Orthopaedic and/or neurological experience preferred.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Aufgaben

• Prepare and position patients for MRI across various body parts.
• Screen patients for ferromagnetic implants or forbidden objects.
• Select and document pulse sequences based on physician protocols.
• Evaluate image quality and ensure complete exams for radiologist review.
• Capture and process images, review for proper windowing and format.
• Send images to PACS and maintain timely exam workflow.
• Perform daily quality assurance on MRI equipment and monitor cryogens.
• Communicate system issues to MRI Supervisor and VP of Operations.
• Assist with IV contrast administration and monitor for reactions.
• Maintain room hygiene and universal precautions.
