Job summary

Spire Orthopedic Partners seeks a per diem MRI Technologist to join Middlesex Orthopedic & Spine Associates in Middletown, CT. The role involves patient positioning, protocol selection, image processing, PACS handling and QA, while ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout MRI procedures.

The position requires a radiology program graduate with CT/X-ray/MRI license and ARRT registration; two years’ MRI experience in orthopedics is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of approved school of radiology required (two-year course).
• Valid Connecticut X-Ray/MRI Technician license and ARRT registered.
• Minimum two years experience as an MRI Technologist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and positions patients for MRI of various parts of the body.
• Selects appropriate pulse sequences and records all sequences used.
• Processes images, sends to PACS, and verifies exam timely.
• Performs daily QA on equipment and monitors cryogens.
• Assists with IV contrast administration and patient care as needed.
