Job summary

Spire Orthopedic Partners, through Middlesex Orthopedic & Spine Associates, is seeking a per diem MRI Technologist for our Middletown, CT location. The role involves preparing patients, selecting pulse sequences, and ensuring high-quality imaging for diagnostic purposes.

Requirements include a radiology program graduate, CT/X-ray/MRI license with ARRT registration, and 2+ years of MRI experience preferred, with orthopedic or neurological exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of approved school of radiology required.
• CT X-Ray/MRI Technician license and ARRT registered.
• Minimum two years experience as an MRI Technologist preferred.
• Orthopaedic and/or neurological experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and positions patients for MRI of various body parts, ensuring proper setup and safety.
• Selects pulse sequences according to physician protocols and records parameters.
• Evaluates image quality and recalibrates as needed for diagnostic accuracy.
• Sends images to PACS and verifies exam completion in a timely manner.
• Performs daily QA tests on MRI equipment and monitors cryogen levels.
