Job summary

Spire Orthopedic Partners in Middletown, CT is seeking an experienced X-ray technician for a per diem role. The position requires an associates degree and CT X-ray licensure, ARRT registration, and at least two years of radiology experience, preferably orthopedic exposure. Workdays are Monday through Friday, 7am–5pm.

You will greet patients, escort to rooms, perform X-rays, manage PACS/MedIC data, maintain supplies, and ensure HIPAA compliance, with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of approved school of radiology required.
• Connecticut X-ray license (CT) required.
• ARRT registered preferred.
• Minimum two years of radiology experience.
• Orthopedic experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a prompt and pleasant manner.
• Escort patients to X-ray rooms and enter data for each X-ray in PACS.
• Perform diagnostic X-rays as requested.
• Interact with physicians, patients and colleagues.
• Maintain and order X-ray supplies.
• File and retrieve X-rays and create CDs of digital X-rays.
• Use Medic and PACS systems to locate patient files.
• Erases cassettes for imaging weekly.
• Follow HIPAA rules.
• Perform other duties/projects as assigned.
