Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Per Diem MRI Technologist to perform MRI studies with attention to patient safety and image quality at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. The role requires ARRT MR and state licensure preferences, with 1–2 years of MRI experience and a willingness to rotate across MRI scanners.

This onsite position offers a per diem schedule, free parking, and a pay rate starting at $48/hour with increases with experience, reflecting the department's commitment to high-quality imaging

Qualifications

• MRI tech experience with multiple patient populations; 1–2 years required.
• Associate's Degree in Diagnostic Imaging required.
• ARRT MR preferred; state license preferred; BLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and exam details per Joint Commission standards.
• Conduct MRI scans for ambulatory/outpatient patients, including image acquisition and processing.
• Safely perform IV insertions and contrast injections; monitor for adverse reactions; document in EMR.
• Educate patients on MRI safety; enforce safety protocols; respond to equipment-related emergencies.
• Perform routine quality control checks on MRI equipment and report issues.
