Job summary

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Commack, NY is seeking a Per-Diem MRI Technologist to support the Radiology team at our outpatient location. The role involves performing advanced MRI procedures with precision and compassion, under the direction of Radiologists and Radiology leadership.

Ideal candidates will bring NY license in Radiologic Technology, ARRT MRI certification, and a strong commitment to patient care and teamwork in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Requires degree from a 2 yr AMA approved Radiology school or a 1 yr MRI technologist program.
• New York State license in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT registration (MRI) (R), and MRI certification (MR).

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of Magnetic Resonance (M.R.) imaging procedures that require independent judgment and ingenuity within an outpatient center.
• Under the administrative direction of the Manager and under the clinical guidance of the Radiologist, perform a variety of MRI procedures while applying their technical ability independently.
• Perform all examinations accurately, completely and efficiently, checking technical quality, and submits completed exams for physician to review.
• Lead all aspects of the exam procedures to improve exam efficiency while meeting patient needs.
• Prepare accurate records and enters required data into information management system.
• Maintain a neat, clean, safe environment, and performs quality control tests as assigned.
• Treat individuals with respect and meet their needs; work collaboratively with others to achieve goals.
