• Bachelor degree or higher required.

• Section testing training and competency assessments maintained by supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing using manual and automated techniques.
• Adhere to policies, procedures and quality standards; maintain records.
• Maintain records demonstrating proficiency testing samples tested with patient specimens.
• Adhere to QA procedures including QC, calibrations, instrument verifications, and maintenance.
• Notify supervisor of problems affecting test performance and document corrective actions.
• Ensure accuracy and quality of results across pre-analytic, analytic and post-analytic phases.
• Notify clinicians and units of critical values; meet STAT TAT requirements.
• Participate in validations, trainings and competency assessments.
• Manage inventory of lot numbers, expiration dates, labeling and QC requirements.
• Complete annual mandatory training and regulatory readiness.
