Job summary

Oak Street South at The McLean Hospital Corporation seeks a per diem psychiatric care professional. The role involves direct patient care for individuals with psychiatric disorders, ensuring safety and therapeutic milieu, and providing family counseling within a collaborative clinical team.

Shifts are 8 hours, days or evenings, with at least four shifts per month and flexibility. Experience 0-1 year preferred; BLS is required; CPI training must be completed within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPI training to be completed within 30 days of hire.
• Basic computer skills and ability to work independently or with a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to psychiatric, drug and alcohol patients.
• Advocate for patients needing support.
• Offer parent/family counseling including Parent Management Training.
• Follow safety guidelines for patients on special status (suicide, abuse, AWOL).
• Document accurately on shift reports and stay on unit during handoffs.
