Job summary

Advocate Health’s Navicent Health Lab is seeking a Medical Technologist for part-time, as-needed coverage with at least 16 hours per week. The role performs laboratory analysis on received specimens to support diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases, with emphasis on quality, safety and efficiency in technical duties.

Required: high school or GED, plus a bachelor’s degree with science coursework (chemistry, biology, math). Licensure as MT/MLS/CLT etc.

Qualifications

• High School or GED Diploma is required.
• Baccalaureate degree with science coursework including chemistry, biology, and math is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs laboratory analysis on received specimens to provide clinical information for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
• Ensures quality, efficiency, and safety in performing assigned technical duties.
