Job summary

Marshall Medical Center is seeking a Medical Assistant for the MMF Divide Wellness Center in Georgetown, CA. This per diem role involves preparing patients, assisting providers, handling refills, lab follow ups, referrals, and patient callbacks. The MA will also verify insurance and credentials, restock supplies and maintain clean exam rooms.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program or previous MA experience preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• To qualify for Medical Assistant 2: CCMA or CMA certification (or AAMA) required.
• Experience with injections, EKGs, meds and vital signs is required.
• Basic computer/data entry and EMR experience required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient education is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination/visit and assist providers as needed.
• Complete medication refills, lab result follow ups, referrals and callbacks.
• Process insurance eligibility and authorizations; verify credentials with partners.
• Order medical supplies and clean/sterilize equipment and exam rooms.
• Float to other clinics as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
