Job summary

Marshall Medical Center seeks a Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering timely, dignified care. You will prepare patients, assist with examinations, manage refills, follow up on labs, handle referrals, and support clinic operations across Marshall Medical Clinics.

The role requires MA program completion or prior MA experience, and a current BLS certification. MA certification through CCMA or AAMA is required for MA 2, with flexibility for other certifying bodies.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program or MA experience preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• MA certification from CCMA or AAMA required for MA 2 or an approved certifying body.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination/visit and assist providers as needed.
• Complete medication refills and lab result follow ups.
• Handle referrals to specialists and patient callbacks.
• Order medical supplies and maintain equipment and exam rooms.
• Float to other Marshall Medical Clinics as needed and perform other duties.
