Job summary

Marshall Medical Center seeks a Medical Assistant to support providers across Marshall Medical Clinics. You will prepare patients, assist with examinations, manage refills and referrals, and handle insurance verification with a patient‑centered approach.

This regular (per diem) position requires BLS certification and MA certification per CA standards. The role may float to other clinics to meet daily needs and ensure high‑quality care for El Dorado County residents.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program or MA experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• MA certification (CCMA/AAMA) required for MA2 or approved certifying body.
• Experience with injections, EKGs, medication administration and vital signs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and assist providers.
• Complete medication refills and follow-up on lab results.
• Coordinate referrals and patient callbacks.
• Process insurance authorizations and verify eligibility.
• Float to other Marshall Medical Clinics as needed and perform related duties.
