Job summary

Carbon Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to perform vital signs, gather patient history and triage in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

You will assist with procedures, administer medications, conduct basic labs and EKGs, and manage front desk duties. Training to obtain DOT certification is provided where required, with an emphasis on clear communication and compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required; willingness to obtain DOT certification.
• Minimum 1+ year experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Phlebotomy experience required.
• Strong communication skills and patient care focus.

Responsibilities

• Take vitals, obtain patient history and triage as needed.
• Assist with procedures such as incisions, lacerations and wound care.
• Administer medications by intradermal, intramuscular and subcutaneous routes; perform EKGs.
• Conduct basic lab tests including urinalysis, pregnancy tests, glucose, rapid assays.
• Manage front desk tasks and receptionist duties as needed.
• Complete training to obtain DOT certification for urine screens and breath alcohol tests.
