Job summary

Saint Michael's Medical Center, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Nurse Assistant for the Med Surg/Telemetry unit in Newark. You will assist with daily living activities and basic nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse.

This per diem role offers variable shift coverage and requires a current CNA certificate and BLS within 30 days of hire, plus knowledge of medical terminology and at least six months of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certificate upon hire.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living.
• Provide basic nursing care to non-critical patients.
• Maintain a safe environment under RN supervision.
• Support Med Surg/Telemetry unit operations.
