Job summary

Summit Health is seeking a Mammography Technologist for per diem shifts in New Jersey. You will produce high-quality mammography images, ensure patient safety, educate patients about procedures, and follow Radiology department protocols.

The role requires ARRT registration, advanced mammography certification, NJ licensure, BLS, and at least 2 years of mammography experience. You must operate PACS/RIS with EMR and maintain infection control.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologies (ARRT) (R)
• Advanced registry in Mammography (M)
• NJ State Radiographer License in good standing.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• 2+ years' experience performing Mammography.

Responsibilities

• Produce quality mammography images for interpretation.
• Assumes responsibility for patient safety by utilizing proper exposure and protective measures.
• Educates and explains procedures to patients.
• Follows department protocols for procedures as specified by Radiologist.
• Obtains and documents patient history and pertinent information.
• Verifies patient demographics in PACS.
• Communicates with attending Radiologists and verifies provider orders.
• Adheres to infection control standards in patient care.
• Manages priorities and schedules for shifts.
• Operates imaging equipment safely and correctly.
• Follows Radiation Safety Procedures for self and others.
• Performs QA/QC as mandated by ACR/MQSA.
• Performs needle localizations and stereotactic biopsies as required.
