Job summary

Qualifications

• Certificate from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• New York State license or temporary permit to practice Diagnostic Radiology.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Advance Certification in Mammography.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of hospital and radiology systems related to radiology; schedules exams and verifies orders.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Performs equipment setup, quality control checks and safe operation of radiographic equipment.
• Explains procedures to patients and adapts examinations to patient conditions while following protocols.
• Follows radiologic procedures and isolation precautions as required.
