Job summary
Unitek College of Nursing invites applications for a Per Diem Nursing Instructor for the LVN program. The role involves teaching both lectures and clinical rotations, updating syllabi, and maintaining student records.
You will collaborate on-site with students and faculty, ensuring compliance with nursing standards and safety regulations. Strong mentoring, communication, and up-to-date clinical knowledge are essential.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse with current unencumbered licensure in the state where you apply to teach.
- 3+ years bedside experience with a BSN, or 6+ years with an Associate Degree.
- Graduate of an approved School of Nursing.
- Must obtain ATI Certification within 30 days of hire (offered by Unitek).
- Current immunizations and Basic Life Support Certification.
Responsibilities
- Make continuous efforts to improve quality of instruction by reviewing and utilizing different teaching methodologies.
- Utilize online activities to enhance course content during interactive teaching.
- Review and revise syllabi for courses within the program and instructional guidelines.
- Submit required program reports to the Director in a timely manner.
- Teach courses at various times/locations to meet program needs and supervise clinicals.
