Job summary

Masonicare at Bishop Wicke in Shelton, CT seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a per diem role. The LPN will provide nursing care under RN supervision, administer medications, and contribute to care planning while maintaining high standards of patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, documenting in EMR, and mentoring CNAs as needed. Requires CT LPN license and at least 1 year of clinical experience in a hospital or similar setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing for practical nursing.
• 1+ years clinical experience in a hospital or similar health care setting preferred.
• Current State of CT license to practice as an LPN.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care under the supervision of an RN for assigned patients.
• Assists with medication and treatment administration.
• Contributes to care plan development by collecting data.
• Communicates with residents, families and staff to meet needs.
• Documents information in a timely and concise manner, utilizing EMR.
• Supervises CNAs to assure plan compliance.
• Participates in inservices, meetings and quality improvement activities.
