Job summary

Health Care Resource Center is seeking a detail oriented LPN to dispense prescribed medications in an outpatient setting and collaborate with physicians and supervisors. This per diem role includes duties such as maintaining dispensing equipment, managing medication inventory, and reporting patient treatment information.

Ideal candidates will have MA LPN licensure with CPR certification, EMR proficiency, and a positive attitude toward individuals in substance use treatment.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in Massachusetts and in good standing.
• CPR certification required.
• Experience with EMR systems preferred.
• Chemical dependency experience is preferred and motivates a positive attitude.
• Successful drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Administer daily medication to patients per policy and medical protocols.
• Use automated dispensing system(s), calibrate pump and maintain dispensing equipment.
• Produce and maintain records and reports as required by Company protocol and regulations.
• Ensure compliance with security standards for the distribution and storage of controlled substances as set forth in CFR.
• Order, receive and stock medication in accordance with DEA and State regulations.
• Provide daily assessment of patients.
• Assist Nursing Supervisor to orient new nursing staff.
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor.
