Job summary

Health Care Resource Center is seeking a detail oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to dispense prescribed medications as part of a treatment team. The role involves maintaining dispensing equipment, managing inventory, and reporting patient treatment information in collaboration with Physicians and Supervisors.

The ideal candidate will have MA LPN licensure, CPR, EMR proficiency, and a positive attitude toward individuals in substance abuse treatment.

Qualifications

Must hold a current and good standing LPN license in Massachusetts.
Current CPR certification required.
Experience with EMR/computer systems and medication dispensing processes.
Experience in chemical dependency treatment preferred and a positive attitude toward individuals in substance abuse treatment.

Responsibilities

Dispense prescribed medications to patients in accordance with program policy and medical protocols.
Operate automated dispensing systems and calibrate pumps; maintain dispensing equipment.
Maintain accurate records and reports as required by company policy and regulations.
Ensure security standards for distribution and storage of controlled substances per CFR.
Order, receive and stock medications per DEA/state regulations.
Provide daily patient assessments and update supervision staff.
Assist Nursing Supervisor with orientation of new nursing staff.
Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
