Job summary

The Gardens at Monroe is seeking a compassionate Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team in Monroe Township, NJ. This per diem role supports residents’ mobility and independence under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities include assisting with treatment plans, documenting progress, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team. We offer comprehensive benefits and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program recognized by APTA.
• Active state PTA license/registration required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Team-oriented and patient-focused approach.
• Ability to lift, transfer and safely assist patients.
• Perform therapeutic exercises and mat treatments.
• Transport patients as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments under PT supervision according to state guidelines.
• Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Monitor and document patient progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to support outcomes.
• Follow facility policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
