Job summary

BRISTOL HOSPICE - PIERCE LLC in Tacoma, WA is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver direct patient care in a hospice setting, focused on comfort, dignity, and quality of life.

You will assess and implement the plan of care, document accurately, educate patients and families, coordinate with the interdisciplinary team, manage pain and symptoms, use aseptic technique, and contribute to ongoing quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active LPN/LVN license in the state.
• Minimum of 3 years nursing experience; hospice or medical/surgical preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care per State Nurse Practice Act with end-of-life focus.
• Implement the plan of care after comprehensive assessment.
• Document patient services accurately to reflect the plan of care.
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis and self-care.
• Coordinate hospice services with interdisciplinary team and report needs.
• Use equipment properly and maintain aseptic technique.
• Manage pain and symptoms effectively and monitor responses.
• Support professional growth and participate in quality improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the RN.
