Qualifications

• 2 years healthcare or related field experience or a combination of applicable experience and education.
• Clerical or client services experience.
• Experience with State and Federal regulatory compliance (MSP, EMTALA, ABN, HIPAA).

Responsibilities

• Receive, process, and label laboratory specimens accurately and timely.
• Handle and disburse laboratory data and patient results.
• Register outpatient laboratory encounters and collect demographic, insurance, and medical information.
• Maintain knowledge of required registration functions and use multiple computer applications to complete patient encounters.
